Hello all, I am new to brewing and have got a couple of kit brews under my belt.
As soon as I deviated from the original instructions of my first Brew by using Spraymalt instead of sugar I knew I was making the first tentative step towards one day making my beer from scratch. After been impressed by the kits, but having the ever building urge to improve the beer I want to have a play with hops. I'm not ready to buy myself a boiler just yet, but think I fancy maybe steeping some hops and adding it to the fermenter and adding some dry hops to my barell.
Can anyone guide me on what might be a decent hop that would suit a standard session bitter around 4%?
Also any tips for the best, cheapest, easiest method to go about this would be appreciated too.

Fuggles are my favourite but I thought I'd recommend Goldings in case I started sounding like a record that's got stuck

Best wishes

As above! Both are classic English hops - either are good for dry hopping too (I'd choose goldings myself, but fuggles works well
