That suggests it's knackered if 14 C and 20 C read the same.

Drinking the first pint...

Tasting incredibly good, I can hardly believe it's homebrew! :D

Nice one Tattie! If you're anything like me you'll be onto the next brew straight away and in a few weeks will have more beer than you know what to do with :)

Hi Tattie, what have you done to condition the beer and where is the bulk if it now (don't say it in your belly!).
Texy
Drinking : AG#1 Ridley's IPA - only 1 bottle left.
Drinking : AG#2 Grahame Wheelers Fullers ESB - plenty left.
Drinking : AG#3 Grahame Wheelers Marstons Pedigree - improving with age
Drinking : AG#4 TT Landlord - my best brew yet, only a few bottles left
In the FV : Ringwood XXXX Porter
Planning - another go at Ridley's probably

I am a bit concerned that this one wont last long, so second brew is in progress today (Deuchars IPA), just got the mash on. For conditioning I used 50g sugar as a solution added to the keg (before the beer), then filled 8 bottles from the keg. Not much control over the temperature in the utility room where it's been for 1 week (probably 15-20C over day and night). I've just moved it to the pantry to keep it a bit cooler now. I'd had a couple of tastes but otherwise only 1 pint down so far, ~39 to go :D

Well still drinking it. I definately think it had more flavour after just a couple of weeks conditioning. Seems a little too malty and bitter with little hop flavour now :( I can also notice a dry feeling left in the mouth.

I read on another thread S-04 can cause this. Anyone else find this a problem? I've got some Nottingham ale yeast and a cultivation from some Proper Job bottles for future brews in case this is the issue.

Cheers.
