Coopers dark ale v Coopers stout
Right, the only kits i have ever done are Coopers stout ( Ditchs ) & have had fantastic results with it. My latest brew is a Coopers dark ale, & even though it is only 3 days into the brew it looks & smells like a stout. Obviously its gonna be a lovely dark brew but to the more experiencd brewers out there, is there much difference to the end product? Also, for those who have done both, which do you prefer? Ditch, you dont need to answer this one!

Hong; I may not need to. But, I'm going to anyway
I've done a Dark. It's bloody lovely! I just, personally, happen to lean that almost imperceptible bit towards stout, these days.
It's not a contest. They're both a gorgeous pint. Don't beat yeself up over which one ye happen to choose to make on any given day

Which Dark do you mean? The Coopers can, or the Dark Ale recipe from the Coopers site (which actually uses their Pale Ale kit)?
Interesting that the only recipe that includes the Dark kit is the Imperial Stout!
If it was the can, what recipe did you use?
