Dry hopping stella?

Post by bigdave » Fri Jan 20, 2012 9:50 pm

I have 2x100g vac pacs of stella (15.2%AA). Ive never used this hop before and so am a bit reluctant to break the seal on a bag just to see how it smells! I've got a coopers IPA fermenting which I made up with the last of my Amarillo (25g 2ltr boil for 45 min = 1ltr hop tea) and I'd quite like to dry hop but don't want to cancel out or waste either hop... Any advice or notes on Stella?

I added a 20g promotional sample to a pseudo lager with 10 mins to go. Fruity and pleasant. You can always retrieve the dry hops and use again in the boil of another brew, they don't lose much.
I say give it a bash?

I didn't really like it that much, its like a souped up version of Saaz, not as good though.
