Snecklifter

Searched for the recipe to clone Jennings Snecklifter. This beer is truly a special one. I would like to clone it and I've got one recipe in this forum but i don't think it's close enough.
Found it here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29066

Anyone got another go for the perfect clone?

When I visited the brewery they had a card with the ingredients for all their beers on it. So I reckon they'd probably let you know what's in Snecklifter if you contacted them and asked nicely.

I visited the brewery last year and they told me they only use 3 malts - but the secret is how much they use from each. I'm only amazed, that no one has been working on a decent clone for the beer. It's brilliant - especially on draught which we can't enjoy here in Denmark :-(

The Homebrewer's Recipe Database gives a starting point, probably what the recipe you linked to in the original post was based upon. This gives a very generous preview of the book so scroll down until you get to Jennings :)

Ahhh Jennings, drink six pints then climb Skiddaw to sweat it out. Then down t'hill for a few more.
