lager yeast
lager yeast
Just supping a rather lovely pint of coopers pilsner. Tastes fantastic, but despite.being about 8 weeks old the sediment in the bottles is still very loose. It doesn't bother me, but I haven't encountered this with the ale yeasts or the ale/lager yeasts. Is this to be expected?

Exactly which yeast did this beer get fermented with?rd2nowhere wrote:Just supping a rather lovely pint of coopers pilsner. I'm just here for the beer.
Re: lager yeast
I've always found it to settle well and would consider an 8week old bottle as vintage.

Re: lager yeast
It's certainly my best lager brew to date, I knew it was going to be a good un when I opened the tin of extract because it smelt gorgeous!rd2nowhere wrote:taste wise it is pretty vintage. Lovely.
I assume the kit lager yeast could be s-23, because coopers refer to it as a commercial dry lager yeast.

Re: lager yeast
I think that there is a very good chance that the yeast is actually Mauribrew Lager 497Monkeybrew wrote:[
