hi all you hop heads could you plz tell me the difference between american and australian galaxy hops [cheers lee :) ]
soon be dead thank beer for that no pain where im going :-)

hi greenpaddy not sure but have seen on the maltmiller website i think they say the galaxy hops they have are not the american ones :?
soon be dead thank beer for that no pain where im going :-)

Never tired Mercan ones but lurve Aussie Galaxy. But then I am biased.

A 23lt brew

4000g pale malt
300g Vienna malt

10g galaxy 90mins
10g " 60mins
10g " 30mins
20g " 0mins

this won me a 3rd place at THBF competition last year.

If you want a fine commercial example of what galaxy hops can do, track down some Old Golden Hen - one of my favourite counter boughts :)

Certainly one of my favourite hop varieties.
Primary 1: Nonthing
Primary 2 : Nothing
Primary 3 : None
Secondary 1 : Empty
Secondary 1 : None
DJ(1) : Nowt
DJ(2) : N'otin....
In the Keg : Nada
Conditioning : Nowt
In the bottle : Cinnamonator TC, Apple Boost Cider, Apple & Strawberry Cider
Planning : AG #5 - Galaxy Pale (re-brew) / #6 - Alco-Brau (Special Brew Clone) / #7 Something belgian...
Projects : Mini-brew (12l brew length kit) nearly ready :D

Agree, I hate Greene Kings beers, but i was really pleasantly surpised when I drank this one, even more amazed to read the bottle and see it contained Galaxy hops!
I am not a Beer expert.....thats exactly the point.
