Brewing equipment all on one level

Post by DC » Thu Sep 11, 2014 12:21 pm

Hi Guys, I am looking to change my brewing set up a liitle in the near future I currently brew on a metal table which only has room for 2 brewing vessels at a time, and I am having to lift my HLT (Plastic) when full of boiling water to dough in my grain and water. I am looking to get a longer table which can house my HLT, Mashtun & Kettle in one go and all at waist height :D I am just wondering how effective Underletting is using a solar pump when the HLT & Mashtun are on the same level? Hoping to get the table soon and make it mobile so I can wheel it in and out of the garage on Brewdays

This shows the current set up with 2 vessels

My small kit is all on one level and I can underlet well enough without the solar pump ;) . . . OK so it helps that the HLT is taller than the Mash tun and I usually fill the HLT to have plenty of treated water on tap, but it still works.
