Qmax Cutter size?

Does anyone know what size Qmax cutter i need for a heating element, such as this?

38/40 is usually the standard. 38 to have to screw in which is an issue if your element is low down but gives a better seal.

40 will push straight through. Depends on the element though

I have just put one of these in my 32ltr pot

used a 40mm cutter and it fits like a glove and no leaking

I'm also In Leeds, don't suppose you have a cutter I could use do you?

Yeah i still have the cutter but its a bit blunt as i only paid 3.50 for it from hong kong.

you can have it if you need it mate cos i will not use it again.

i live in morley 5 mins from brew shop up near asda. I am not working friday if you want to call up for it

what area are you in?

Depending on how blunt the cutting edge is on the Qmax, it "may" "slightly" distort the pot. I'm not saying it will mind, but only letting you know as this happened to me and I ended up having to make my own washers from silicone sheet with a couple of hole punches because the washers that are supplied with the element are not "brilliant"
