Where's the best place to buy one?
Brewing today for first time in 2 years and my temp controller is showing air temperature as 66c!!
Last one I bought from Forttex who don't seem to exist anymore for £4.50, RS and Farnell have them for about £12 and ebay is full of China ones.
Cheers

Re: Replacement Temp Probe
There is/was a member here that I bought a couple from some time last year. Think his user name's Troublebrewing or something like that. I think Mr Lard has 'em too.mdex wrote:Sorry it's an NTC for an STC-1000 controller.

Re: Replacement Temp Probe
I ended up buying 5 from a UK ebay seller.
They're only short but cut the end off the old temp probe and spliced the new one on.
Working fine now.

Re: Replacement Temp Probe
Glad you got sorted. You might want to run a few tests against an accurate thermometer as you've lengthened the cable. Added resistance in the additional wire could cause inaccuracies, though it should be negligible.mdex wrote:I ended up buying 5 from a UK ebay seller.
