Nice! Is that a RIMS tube I can see too? If so, did you make it, or where did you get it from?
cheers

Looks awesome!
One thing though. I thought rims tubes had to be mounted horizontally? I've seen previous posts of them burning out mounted vertically?

Hmmm, not sure why that'd be the case Belter? I always use mine vertically, below the mash tun.

Not sure either but I've seen it.
I use my horizontally for that reason.
I'll try and dig it out

I've searched for the post and I cant find it. It was a few years ago. There was an immersion element enclosure people were buying on eBay. One failed the test and the reason was that it was vertical. Or I could be way off and remembering wrong

Umm, Nice panel, looks a bit like the one I have in mind to build, but won't be as big as yours.
Still, I know there's a lot of planning involved in building one, so well done.

Relieved to read that as I use mine the same way, as long as the pump runs your fine, but that's the case whatever the orientation. I have had a couple of scares with mine where the element has overheated due to my mistakes but the quality of these elements has come to my rescue. Lardy makes these in two pieces now, take a look. I'm also looking forward to getting my s/s head pumps back too, how are yours (OP) performing?

Belter, yeah that's the thread I screwed up in heh. I now always make sure to keep it below the mash tun.
