Replacement Tap

Post by Alkey » Tue Apr 14, 2015 11:15 pm

Hi all,

New to the forum and 1st post here and been reading as much as I can, preparing for 1st AG hopefully next week. Have brewed kits before but never tried AG

So after carefully sourcing kit I have ended up with an Electrim bin to use purely for my sparging water but can't see a way to connect the clear plastic 10 mm tube from the sparge arm to the Electrim tap. The tap is conical shaped and the clear tube will not fit over it. I took the tap out and the connecting thread is smaller than the one for example on my king keg or the ball valve on the mash tun, anyone have any ideas where I can source a tap that fits and can connect the sparge tube to. Failing that any other work arounds?

Thanks for any help and info, and fantastic forum you have here .

Cheers

Al

Hi, not quite sure what you need to do but by soaking your plastic tubing in boiled water you can get it to stretch over something larger.

Thanks For the link, what I did was drill a new hole and put a ball valve in plus made a sparger with standard connections, cheers ,
