Adding a ballvalve to a plastic boiler - advice please.

Post by Cully » Tue May 19, 2015 12:23 pm

I now have my 60 ltr boiler fitted with two elements and need to add a ball valve. I was looking at this set up as probably the easyest option for me - I want it to be all stainless steel and easy to fit. I am puzzled though ast to the size of the nipple. If the tap is 1/2" shouldnt the nipple be 1/2" inch as well? If not, then what size hole would I have to bore for that nipple please as I have to buy the cutter?

Doh Just seen his tap is 3/8". So I'd just need all 1/2" inch gear and ad in a flanged washer on the inside and outside with a male to female coupler for the hop strainer?

Just bear in mind that bazooka is tapered so will fit different sizes.
