Gas burner build

Post by sbond10 » Thu Jun 04, 2015 3:32 pm

Just received my gas burner today from Hamiltons but a few things are puzzling me I wonder if anyone could help ?
Where the two slots are for the bolts there's a circular hole in the middle then on the burner there's a round hole should these match up ? As at the minute it sits half way up. Do I need to bend the bracket to get it to match.
sorry for the unclear description but I know a few have these burners and just a quick glance would help greatly

Cheers sean

I'm pretty sure I have the same burner as everyone else from Hamiltons but I can't for the life of me work out what you mean in your description!

Any chance of a photo?

i haven't go one of these burners, but isn't that steel nut used to secure the brass bit into the burner, ie screw the brass bit all the way in, prob with some ptfe, then get the barb to the position where you want it, then secure the whole thing using a spanner to tighten the steel nut against the burner.

Looked back on my images and this is mine:

Not at home so can't check if the hole should line up or not.
