Re: Large thermopots
I think that's the biggest one from the usual supplier, but I'm guessing there are alternative suppliers/types etc.
It would just be more durable than insulating a 100l stockpot with armaflex etc.

Re: Large thermopots
I can"t think that I've seen 100lt thermo's..... A Stock pot, yes there is 98....... So unless you insulate a stock pot, i think you maybe out of luck.
Ps I'm guessing you want it as a hlt. But is an 80 not big enough ?
Just seen your reply,, I thought that bergland was the only supplier of thermo's . well at a nice price that they sell. Have you looked at mr lard or Powell brewing etc. they may have other contacts.

Thanks Aleman, are they special order as not on his website?
I may just manage with an 80L but would prefer 100L plus.

Re: Large thermopots
I have an 80L and regularly boil 70L, for space reasons my set up is mobile and just about manageable for cleaning at that size.

Re: Large thermopots
I never did hear back from him but I can see (now that I have opened my eyes!) that he does stock whopping great big 160L thermopots but nothing between 80L and that. The 160L one might just be that bit too big!!
So I am still searching for the ideal outer vessel for a Braumeister 50 clone (circa 100L in volume, preferably insulated but doesn't have to be).
Does anyone know the answer to the following:
- Are any of the pots sold by Mr Lard/Brewbuilder the same pots as the SS Brew Tech pots sold by the maltmiller? I don't want the bells and whistles that push up the price such as the valve and trub stop.
- Does anyone know of any pots of this size that come with volume markings etched on the inside in litres? The SS Brew Tech ones have american gallons which is no use! I won't have a sight glass and so I do need a way of easily measuring the strike water.
- Is there some catering outlet I should be looking at? Usual home brewing suppliers and eBay don't seem to be showing what I need and I am sure it must exist.
All the best,
Dean.
