Def not too late, I believe we have 21 entries so far (with some more still to come) and brewers ready and brewing for the bar, probably 2 of our beers on the bar too.

My wife will hopefully be coming too. She's entered a beer. She decided a few years ago to have a go herself and now beats me in every competition we enter, but she had to have an emergency hernia op on Tuesday, so still a bit sore.alix101 wrote:Think the wife is coming with me she hates me taking about beer ....I've told her nobody will be discussing beer

We are always amazed at how many people come, we had 33 of the 34 entered beers turn up and the 5-judges had a hard time.
Next time I think we will need to have 8 judges to cope with the number of entries and to get judging done in a sensible time-frame.
We raised £430 for charity which is to be split between 'Keighley Cat Care' and 'The Stroke Association'.
Big thanks to Rob from The Malt Miller for the amazing Homebrew Vouchers.
Thanks to all our brewers for the Bar, Clarke, Wayne, Paul and Paul... the bar wouldn't be the same without your kind donation of time, effort and Beer!
Really great to get Andy Leman down from Timothy Taylors to help judge and give us a talk on Timmy Taylors too.
Hmmm, what shall we brew next time? Who can I organise to do a talk?

NCB Wishbone Brewery Homebrew Comp 29th April
As an update, I approached the Craft Brewers Association about partnering some homebrewers up with breweries during Open Brewery Day, and it was very well received. There are at least 5 breweries who will be hosting a homebrewer on their system, or at least to set up on premise to show off what the homebrewers can do. They loved the idea of finding pictures of the pro brewers homebrewing start, with pictures, and/or homebrewing gear, too.
Thanks to Lucas for drafting the pitch, and you all for the great ideas.
Can I get a show of hands of folks who would be able to set up shop at their local brewery on May 7th, whether it be to show off your homebrew gear, give tours of the commercial brewery, and/or maybe brew on a big, or pilot, scale with the pros?
