3 tier to single tier workbench suggestions

Evening all

I have a 3 vessel, gravity fed system and I'm thinking of getting a couple of pumps from the chaps at The Malt Miller and transitioning to single tier as its pain in the backside moving and lifting things around the garage.

I'm on a budget so I was hoping to get something like this;

But I'm worried about positioning my burner. Currently I have one of these;

It's a great burner but a bit front heavy so I have to wedge bricks under the gas taps, that's not too much of an issue but the thing I'm mulling over is what to put under it to stop the surface from burning and what to put behind it as I will be sitting the bench against the garage wall and don't really want to burn it down if at all possible.

Really keen for some suggestions or alternative ideas.

I use a off cut of a standard garden flag and i brew on a 7.5kw gas burner(like the one the malt miller sells) and i brew on a work bench of cls timber a few breeze blocks and off cuts of kitchien work( i was a very tight budget). The off cut patio flag hardly gets warm

Why not save yourself the worry and go electric? 6 kw is possible with two QUALITY extension leads running from different ring mains bat if your doing a common 5 gal batch 3 kw is easily enough.

I've thought about going electric (I have an old tea urn for a HLT) but my skills in wiring are horrendous and I'd probably die.....

Sorry, probably worth mentioning that I do 5 gallon batches so I'm usually bringing about 28ltrs to the boil in a 55ltr pot (45cm diameter)

Would stainless tables be ok with the heat? Would convection (is that the right one? Or is it conduction?) Not make the heat just spread across the table?

Unless you mount your burner upside down , i don't see a problem , stainless has poor conductive properties and heat goes up.

Explains my above post about using a off cut of a paving stab works proberly dont even need that to be honest
