sweet taste , help

hello all, have i brewed sweet water or beer hydrometer says 1010, it was fermenting bubbling away for days but it tastes a bit sweet ,when i took reading today i am thinking brewed sweet water , help please

one and half kilo lme, one kilo brown cane , 564 grams lme malt, 564 grams black treacle boiled 30 mins with 80 grams warrior hops, in filter bag, added to fermenter making 22 liters in total, norsk ale yeast 10 grams, will leave two weeks

That seems like an awful lot of brown sugar and treacle.

If it's down to 1.010 then it's done. Your yeast is strong enough to have fermented the sugars. Probably needs resting for a bit now to get the flavours to settle in to each other.

Will you be bottling it or kegging it?

thank you Guypettigrew ,bottling 500ml priming each bottle, just dry hoping for a few days, have taken your advise ,cheers

I've used that høg norsk yeast twice now and neither went below 1.012 so my guess is you're probably done with fermenting.

I'm saying that much brown sugar and treacle will give you a sweet tasting beer no matter what yeast you use. At 1.010 it is done.

thanks ,i am dry hopping to try balance sweetness, still bubbling every 30 mins or so ,what yeast do you use wth an IPA cheers and thanks

bottled, 500ml ,fg 1,008, colour brown reddish, taste similar doombar,primed 1/2 teaspoon white sugar in each, so i will leave 14 days then start to enjoy
