Because this is only 20litres, i want to upgrade my bucket.
Im guessing it wont be that hard to do.
Where and what type of plastic would i need to upgrade this to say a 23liter brew with extra head room?

I'm using one of these - http://www.colchesterhomebrew.co.uk/col ... d-lid.htmldjseaton wrote:Because this is only 20litres, i want to upgrade my bucket.

And two of these - http://www.copperkettlehomebrewing.co.u ... kw-element
I only had both elements on to bring my brew to the boil but was able to boil a 23L brew on a cold day using just one element.
The pro's of a 60L boiler is loads of headroom, but the slight con is a higher boil-off rate per hour due to the larger diameter.

Re: Electrim mashing bin/boiler
What is the inside diameter of an Electrim boiler?
Would one of these SS splatter-guards from Ikea cover element OK? I got one recently & i was just £3 and 33cm diameter.

Alternatively an upturned SS colander (after taking handles off)?
