Only for OG readings, and run off gravity readings through the sparge. Once you have alcohol in the mix i.e fermentation then you need top use a set of calculations to determine the gravity from the Brix reading. Plus for a few beers you need to use the hydrometer and refractometer in partnership to measure the OG to determine a fudge factor although the default of 1.04 seems to work in a lot of cases.LeeH wrote:So this will directly replace a hydrometer?
