The Slough store still had quite a good range of stuff in stock when I got there at lunchtime... They have rather less now but plenty to keep a couple more folks happy.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

Happy brewing,

Ian.

What does everyone think about the wilko sale. What improvements could be made for any future big promotions they might do ? (other than having more stock available). Maybe if we list them they may pick up on some ideas for the next time......
How about a loyalty reward scheme say for orders via the Internet ...... That's my contribution

Steve, I'm not impressed.

Empty shelves during sale, well stocked before and after!

More like a closing down sale than a Fathers' day promotion.

I found the stock levels unchanged during the half price promotion and would have bought more if I hadn't been on my bike. Whens the next one? i'll bring a wheelbarrow!

I was well pleased with the sale, i arrived at my nearest store to find a good amount of stock 2 days after the sale started,

the only gripe i have is when i was checking out, one of the Wilko's staff was walking up to the till where i was and made some comment to the till staff serving me about "Alchies" raiding the store today !
she seemed more than a bit embarrassed when she seen the 8 kits, brewing sugar, yeast, bottle caps etc which i'd just bought !
she obviously felt guilty as she helped me carry my loot to my car...

was an unnecessary comment, but water off a ducks back !

I was very pleased with the sale.... £165 pleased.
Great customer service on the phone to make me aware that parts of my orders were out of stock and re order / refund offered.
Just collected the last order from my local store as I made all my orders online, some delivered and 1 collected.
Dissapointed that the grape concentrate sold out so quick, even after the online stocks were replenished but I cant really complain as I have enough kits to keep me going for about a year.

It was the first time I saw so much stock on the shelk in my Local Wilko's (wolverhampton) as the choice is usually appaling.

Please give us a heads up when the next sale is on ;)

As for improvements....

Ban www.HotUKdeals.com from promoting or publishing the sale as the leeches over there will have emptied the warehouses and put it all on ebay to make a (tax free) proffit.
