I've been asked where the following might be obtained in London, "preferably near Euston" (optimism).
Any ideas?
(5 lbs/ 2.27 kg) light dried English malt extract
(0.4 lb/ 0.18 kg) 40 Lovibond dark crystal/caramel malt
(1 1/2 oz. / 43 g.) Kent Goldings hops (boiling): 7 HBU
(1/2 oz. / 14.2 g.) Styrian Goldings hops (flavour): 2.5 HBU
(1/2 oz. / 14.2 g.) Kent Goldings hops (aroma)
(1/2 oz. /14.2 g.) Kent Goldings hops (dry hop)
(1/4 tsp. / 1 g.) powdered Irish moss
Ale yeast
(3/4 c. / 178 ml.) corn sugar

Central London has no HBS that I know of. Now that Pitfield Beer Shop has been booted out of Hoxton by ridiculous rates and 'trendy' boutiques they do the occasional farmer's market (mainly N London, not Dulwich anymore
) and you can pre-order brewing ingredients and equipment and pick it up from them there:
LINKY
(Stoke Newington farmer's market is about 20mins from Euston on the 73 bus).

I've heard that Sheel's chemist in Lewisham (close to that Firkin pub we were talking about recently) apparently stocks some HB equipment, although what I don't know. I doubt it will be 'raw' ingredients though. I'll have to get round to checking it out sometime as its only a bus ride from me.CyberPaddy66 wrote:I wish I knew that myself, I'm in SE London and there's nothing for miles around (tumble weed rushes by) and the nearest I know of is in Cheam, that's Surrey to you out of towners

Homebrew shops in the UK and London especially are few and far between. Online is your best bet. The homebrewshop in Farnborough (Hants) seems to have the biggest selection, and very prompt delivery. Other than Mash and a place in Covent Garden that I don't remember the name of, what micropubs are there in London?
