just had a right few pints of coopers lager mixed with turbo cider, what a brew. I under carbonated my coopers and over carbonated my turbo cider but what a result when i mixed them. Surely i was beat to this idea a thousand times on this forum? anyway i'm over the moon and fairly drunk so lets have some more mmmm more!

I'm returning to home-brewing after nearly 25 years and was just looking through the Forum when I spotted this one.

As a student in those days, homebrew snakebite was a common thing. The usual ingredients were from the 'Boots' range of kits (no longer available) 'cos they were cheap - a student's favourite price!

I'm sure I lost many a weekend after drinking that stuff :D

I too remember those days. Cheap Boots kits laced with extra sugar.

Oh yes, KevG, I forgot to mention the extra sugar.

I remember making a Boots Cider kit, adding TWICE the required ammount of sugar and throwing in some extra yeast as well. The flippin' stuff was still fermenting two months later!

It's a miracle that we didn't all go blind in those days
