DME

I've got 500g of dark DME left over from my Coopers dark ale brew. I am intending to use it on my next brew which will probably be a Coopers real ale. I do not mind the Dark DME giving a darker colour to the beer but what I am unsure of is the flavour it will impart. Will it taste any different to using a medium or a light DME or is it just colour that is affected?

I think you will have a bit more maltier taste to the beer. I would definitely go with it and use it in brew - just take notes, maybe this way you will create beer you really like!

I certainly don't mind the extra colour and if the only difference is taste is likely to be a little extra malt flavour that sounds ok, I just didn't want it to impart any burnt/stouty type flavours.
