Brew Your Own British Real Ale by Graham Wheeler is a great starting point and full of recipes. :D
If I had all the money I'd spent on brewing... I'd spend it on brewing!

+1 , I used the British Real Ale by Graham Wheeler as well. It explains things quite well and has loads of clone recipes in it.

As for all the hints and tips, some of the best advice and information I’ve had is by reading loads of posts on this forum.

Hope that helps

Would thoroughly recommend this if just starting out and concerned more with the process than the recipes. At 1p + P&P it can't be bad

I intend to start AG brewing in the next month or so. With this in mind I ordered Graham Whellers book and it has been invaluable. The book explains each part of the brewing process & then goes onto give clone recipes. Well worth the money.

+1 for Grahams book (or 'the bible' as i call it), it started me out AG brewing 17 years ago before we had the internet. I'm on the latest edition now and still regularly brew recipes from it.

"Yeast" from Chris White and Jamil Z is a good overview on a subject that we usually worry a lot about, but typically haven't done much research on.

If you want to brew many different beer styles, then "Brewing Classic Styles" will give you a good starting point for recipes that work.

Randy Moshers "Tasting Beer" is great for getting you thinking about what you've made.
