Challenger in the last 10mins?

Post by Monkeybrew » Tue May 15, 2012 6:11 pm

I just wondered what flavours Challenger hops add to a brew when boiled for 10mins?

Yummyness :) My favourite hop by far. If you buy a bottle of coniston bluebird thats a good way of telling what heavy challenger aroma/taste you get. To be honest I'd go for Challenger over Cascade but thats just my personal oppinion. Or as is the case with my second all grain I did equal quantities of Cascade and Challenger and its turned out blooming gorgous with a big hit of Crystal Malt for a lovely malty finish.

I had a beer with only challenger and it reminded me a bit of goldings (c & g are a great combo) so I'd say definately put it in the last 10.
I'm just here for the beer.
