Ex kit question

Post by rocket ronnie » Thu Sep 13, 2012 5:31 pm

I have a kit enhancer left over from when I used to brew geordie kits of old, I believe them to be half spray malt and half malt/dext etc.

What I want to ask is can I use this in my real ale brews instead of sugar to use it all up.

Absolutely yes. Adding fermentables to up your OG or use it for priming.

Would probably go well in a Stout or Porter where the base malt component isn't the star of the performance, whilst giving an extra kick.
