Does any1 know the best place to get a decent grain mill.

About 70 to 100 quid

Another happy customer here. Don't forget to get some feeler gauges. I also recommend conditioning the malt to get a better crush as it allows you to set a finer gap whilst not pulverising the husks.

How'd you attach your drill to it?
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Looks like the Chinese type I got, it just slips over the shaft,, oo-err misses :lol: . Not that I got a misses from China #-o

Take the manual handle off, and tighten the drill head onto the shaft. No modification necessary (just remember to charge your drill ;)

no, I got mine from ebay. They're only a few £££, you only need to go up to a 1mm.

If you're going to attach a drill set the torque to the right setting just in case there's any stones in the grain that could cause a jam.

If not the drill may spin around uncontrollably with the mill on the end spraying grain everywhere, bitter experience!! Especially when you do it twice on the same batch #-o

Lesson learnt...

I think that's an excellent piece of advice. Never happened to me, but I could see this occurring with any grain mill!
