Firkin/cask
Hi,
Anyone know if someone or a company is selling single firkins or casks for home brewers?
Cheers

Cheers, I sent them an email seeing if they ship to Norway and also if they sell to home brewers. Chances are they won't do one or the other.
Re: Firkin/cask
Oh, turns out they do and really cheap also around £30 for the Brewery plastics
Re: Firkin/cask
Yep because they are plastic, Crusader and Kammac are Stainless.

Nice, thanks for the webpages. I will order two later. Be fun for a BBQ. Now just need to get better at making ales
Re: Firkin/cask
Go for a nice Mild and Bitter, easy to do and ready quick. Which method of dispense are you going for?

Re: Firkin/cask
I will just hook it up to the beer engine. I was thinking of getting another king keg but this will do much better. I'm not sure but think I saw something about using filters and a c02 purge for these pins so the beer lasts longer without spoilage. Mild sounds good, not done that yet.
Re: Firkin/cask
Well there are a few different ways to hook it up to a beer engine, it's worth looking into before they arrive.

Absolutly, I have asked of they also supply pegs and taps - sorry cannot remember the proper names at the moment.
Re: Firkin/cask
May be of help if you intend on taking a keg along to a party save time on settling.

Re: Firkin/cask
H aha reminds me of my hand pull a few weeks ago. I had a small hairline crack in the top tap float that let in gas as well as beer and this was the result even with a check valve.
