Muntons Old Conkerwood Black Ale

Post by BlightyBrewer » Sun Oct 01, 2006 2:08 pm

Just assembled this kit of parts. I haven't brewed in such a long while, and I found this kit that my wife bought me for Christmas. This will be the first brew to find a home in one of my corny kegs. :)

This ale has been in the fermenter for nearly two weeks, and the gravity doesn't want to drop below 1.020. I'm keen to bottle some of this, but obviously nervous about the high gravity. It is now in a secondary fermenter, so off the yeast cake. What should I do??

Oh gawwwd, I just realised that you are talking about my latest kit, Daab! Is there any hope for this brew?

Check out the sticky and all the links in it :(

I got my stuck one going with Yeast-Vit, more yeast, gentle rousing, more heat.

Bit of a bugger but I bet you can pull it through...

I might be going through the same again in the next couple of days myself!

Cheers, will read that. It must be a new addition since my last visit.
