Homebrewer Jim Welcome to Jim’s Beer Kit!

Hi, I'm Jim, an enthusiastic homebrewer from Washington, England; a warm welcome to the site!

We hope you like the new-look banner and the search bar we've installed; this can be used to search the site by clicking the 'jimsbeerkit.co.uk' radio button. We've also expanded the navigation panel to allow easier access to the brewing tutorials.

Jim's Homebrew Forum continues to go from strength to strength and is now one of the top homebrew forums on the internet for British Ale brewers, attracting  members from all over the world - including some of the real experts in the field of brewing. The forum is run by a friendly bunch of administrators and you'll be made very welcome if you take the plunge and join.

About my Approach to Homebrewing

I use the traditional 'mashing' system (grain brewing) for my homebrew; it allows me to make a beer that can be enjoyed and which I am proud to serve up to my friends (though sometimes I think I'd prefer to drink it all myself!).

My preferred beer is traditional English style beer, now commonly known as 'Real Ale' (presumably to distinguish it from the more or less 'Unreal Ale' which is often served up in pubs these days). My homebrew techniques reflect this.

I hope you enjoy the new site and Happy Brewing!
