You could try the arch method...bit fiddly to get going but so easy to harvest

That's a lot of hops.
I zigzag mine up a trellis. I'll post a picture tomorrow if I remember. Ideally you should put them in the ground though... Those pots are way too small.

Only if you leave them unchecked BA. As for the pots they are fine for 2 or 3 years but after they will outgrow them, you will find out usually when its too late as they wont grow to full height and have a very small harvest. I replanted my Bramling X in the Spring, it had resided in a butler sink for 4 years, so I split it and now have 4 very good plants instead of 1, as well as some rhizome stock for next year.

It's the roots that spread, so they're not easy to keep in check...
