Ended up with a bit of a disaster as two of my boilers that had been left in a damp garage refused to work. One almost set on fire and the other kept tripping my fuse box. The hot one is now in the skip and the other has been rewired by an electrician friend.
Sooooooo I have around 10kg Maris Otter, 2kg caramalt, 500gm torrified wheat and a s**t load of Pilgrim hops with an AA 11.24% that I've acquired. I also have some fuggles, around 200g, that have been stored in my freezer, vacuum packed for over two years.
Are there any suggestions to use the ingredients that i have? I'm looking for lots of bitterness with hop aftertaste. Is this achievable with these hops? I'm a big fan of "smack in the mouth" flavours like "Brewdog" beers so was thinking of a long boil with lots of Pilgrims and a good load after the boil. A single hop brew but using lots of them.
What do you reckon?
Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated
