I will be going also, most probably on the Saturday. I wonder how the change of venue to the Kings hall will fair against the Ulster ?

Its going to be a bit of a PITA to get to, normally i would dander out of work and be at it in 10 mins.
I think they should have set it up in the grounds of the city hall like they do for the xmas market.

Was at the festival last night, not as busy as usual but i guess thats down to the venue more than anything.

Had some cracking beers and also some mediocre beers.

The sarah hughes dark mild was great as was a bitter called TEA made by hogs back brewery i think.
The let down of the night had to be the 1/2 pint of landlord that i had, i did not like it at all, i couldn't see what the fuss is about.

Hi DB, I am going Saturday, looking forward to it. Its my main day out of the year  (Although I did manage to get to the Earls Court one this year). I will definately check out the dark mild if it is still on.

How is it layed out in the Kings Hall ? Is it in the main hall ? Only ever been there once and seem to remember some slightly smaller rooms.

I went on Saturday evening. Some nice beers there. I was gutted though. I kept two tokens back to get a pint of Black Sheep Ale as I love it from the bottle and wanted to try it from the pump. Went up to the bar and no BSA left!

TEA is a Hogs Back beer and one of my favorites. Made with that Hook Norton yeast I use so liberally in my brews :D. I used one of Norms recipes to replicate it recently first effort was nice but not spot on - am fermenting a second effort at the moment ...... ....
