0.5kg crystal
0.2kg choc

copper hops start fuggles 60g late(15min to go) 30g fuggles

aiming for a 25ish litre batch at 1.040

only a 1hr15 boil and undershot the gravity by a lot. 1.032, but i got the full 5 gallon/23litre batch in the fermenter.
the hops have been there a few weeks now so i'm allowing for a bit of tailing off of the bittering power and i'd rather overshoot the ibu's than undershoot. :D

1.032 is more around what milds generally are anyway.

you were right daab. bit high on the ibu's , but tastes very nice anyway.

I was thinking the same, maybe its calibrated for 16c and you are measuring at 20c. Though I dont know if that would have the effect of registering a lower SG or a Higher one.

:oops: yep. ten point underread. so that will be 1.042 down to 1.010
checked with tap water and against the glass one. (plastic boots type before)
