Treacle Ale
Let's not forget "Turbo Pine" and "Wee* of the Willow"...Shhh! Don't let curious brew know that trees ferment too, there'll be no end to the insanity, the place will be awash with "sycamore surprise" and "Elixir of Elm"
Actually I think the second one can be forgotten after all..!

*Or is it spelled 'Wii' these days..?
Big Batch Update 2
The gravity of this tonight is 1022..!
Seems my fears were a little unfounded. I'm now thinking that I should also multiply the fermentation time by five as well as the other ingredients..!
And also... Well, I couldn't resist. It's day 10, and my first batch should be ready, so I cracked open a bottle in the Interests of Science.
Lots of fizz, but no head - it looks like a ginger ale. Only a very dark ginger ale, not at all clear. A strong taste of sweet lemons and a hint of ginger, but not too bitter - well, not to my unsophisticated palate, anyway. I took some pictures, if anyone's interested I'll post them.
But not right now, as I've been supping the Treacle Ale. And, for some reason, I can't feel my legs, and my head feels wrapped in cotton wool. Jeebus, it's got a kick to it..!

Following two successful Turbo cider experiences I had a look in the cupboard and found some treacle AND golden syrup in the back
So I've put on a 5 litre springwater bottle of this stuff on the go..
In the recipe it mentions stirring it every day - can I just pick up the bottle and give it a gentle swirl? - or should I open it up and properly stir with a sanitized spoon?
