I did change it slightly, I soaked the 10g of hops for 30 minutes after the boil rather than dry hop in the king keg, I am going to bottle some of the brew to see what the bottled version tastes like.
This was my 1st try with Golden Promise malt & First Gold hops. Maybe I should have called it shot in the dark instead!
I achieved an ag of 1044, I estimated 1042 based on 70% effiency as my effiencies have been poor recently, I normally achieve an effiency of around 78%.
Anyway, waffle over, I know that you like your pics so here they are.

Starting the mash.

All wrapped up & cosy!

First runnings.

Three tier set up in action.

Coming to the boil, there seemed to be more foam using Golden Promise compared to Maris Otter.

Nice vigorous boil. The first batch of hops have just been added, time to switch one of the elements off.

Wort cooler in action.

Aerating, Brewlab yeast starter at the ready.

Nice clear wort.

Is it foamy enough!

It is certainly lighter in colour than the previous pale ales I made using Maris Otter, I can't wait to try this one, it looks & smells great!
