My fast fermenting 1st A.G. The next step?

Post by llannige » Wed Apr 23, 2008 11:28 am

Finished brewday 13.20pm Sunday.Gervin English Ale yeast 1L starter.
Monday AM. bubbling like I've not seen before, slightly oozing from cracked open lid.
Tuesday AM,settled down.Cracked lid shut.
Tuesday PM.no bubbles in air lock(a bit worried)
Wednesay AM.Took Hydro reading 1.012(Estimated 1.013)
With my limited knowledge of brewing this fast fermentation is new to me.

Normally I leave it in primary for 7 days, and then secondary for 14 days.Whats the next move?

Do I leave it a few more days before secondary?

Guidance as always,much appreciated.

Cheers.

I always had trouble getting kits down to a reasonable TGs even after 14 days in the FV. All my AG brews have pretty much finished after 48 hours. I've now chucked out the sachets of Dry Beer Enzyme that were a neccessary must-have! Seems to be way it is with AG.
