I'm having a think about my new brew and I'd like it to be quite red looking.

Which grain would be best to use on a partial mash to get a good redness?

Thanks guys

so the darker crystals add red whilst the lighter add coppers.

Right i'm starting to understand it a bit more now.

I put 250gms of crystal in 20ltrs for 30mins in my last brew with 2kg of pale dme. it ended up a nice light copper colour. If I was to stick with the same amount of crystal but looked at 1 hour would i get more get more colour out of them? Or should i look at going with a darker dme and building the colour from there?
