you could try this it is a hobgoblinish clone I just switched the pale malt for extract. No need to partial mash it either
23l at about 1050
4800g pale malt [switch for 3500g extract]
250g crystal
100g black
100g chocolate malt
50g fuggles full
40g styrians 15 mins
20g stryians flame off
aim for ~30 ibu
to convert recipes just multiply the pale malt by 0.73 and if you don't want a partial mash just stick to
crystal, black, chocolate, carapils and roast barley.

ok we need to sort out what DME means as I have heard it mean.
Dry Malt Extract
Darkm Malt Extract
Diastatic Malt Extract
I assume you mean darkas you mentioned LME as well, it does not matter really but pale malt should be replaced with light.
Dry malt is 805 I think on liquid malt, just incase that was the question.
Been in pub since 3pm so forgive my ramblings will reread tomorrow if I remember osting

Arh hobgoblin is a superb brew, I'll just have to give that a whirl. I do like the darker ales.

Would replacing the fuggles with more styrians wreck the flavour? Just thinking of getting 100g of Styrians and adding a few less.

From what ive read - its crushed grains in a bag which you steep, not sure how long for or what temp. Take them out - bring to the boil and add hops etc.

Nice 1 Daab. This numpty understands the 2nd links instructions.
My 1st (only) extract i spent 45mins getting 15L to actual boiling point. Then 3hrs getting it down to 20c.
To me a 90min boil meant boil it at 100c for 90 mins. 66c isnt boiling.
