I'm struggling to find a suitable container to sanitise my paddle in when I need to rouse my brew, any suggestions?

you can get long paint trays, the kind you use with a radiator paint roller.

I use a stainless paddle so sanitise it by flaming it with a propane torch
Get yourself a length of drainpipe with a two blanking ends. Glue the ends on fill with sanitiser and drop the paddle in. You could even do it with Downpipe or soil pipe and stand it upright.

I just hold it upright in a jug and dribble the sanitiser solution down the handle.

Snap Jim, or just use a spray clearner from a bottle.

Thanks for your prompt replies guys.
Jim, does it not have to sit in the sanitising solution for 15 - 20 mins?

Depends on the sanitiser you use.

My kitchen sink is just long enough for the paddle to lie in diagonally. A few inches of diluted bleach works for me.

True, I tend to use chlorine-based sanitiser such as VWP (I'm safe to admit that now that Chris has gone!

).

I recently bought a kilo of Bruclens. Gotta tell you guys, it's pretty good stuff. Doesn't foam up like VWP, and cleans even ancient dried crap off demi's.
