Having ballsed up yet again in my basic process ~ see my Post about 'what temperature to add the Kit / malt extract tot the water' ~ I found myself pitching my only sachet of " Safale " yeast (activated) at 34c. That must've been around 21:00? I figured I'd killed it.
Around 03:00, absolutely desperate not to lose my second of two 'brews', I got the kit supplied - seemingly notoriously lousy? - yeast sachet supplied with the Wherry kit and started activating that. Sure enough, it took almost an hour to show Any sign of life. But it'd have to do.
That's why, at around 04:00, I cracked the lid on my fermentation bucket and was about to chuck the new yeast in. Then I'm like '

This time round, by the way, I used my straight tap water. Only I added a half camden tablet (My god! Opening that tub and taking the instinctive sniff nearly took My head off!) I had a taste of the wort, hour after making and before the yeast went in. Tasted like malty liquor. Reading was around " 1036/39 "? Something like that. At about 37c? I'm yet to even start trying to work out what that means. Just some beer will suit me

Sorry. I'm waffling and babbling. I'm just excited and elated! Hope to god I still am in about nine hours time!

{Mod's? Should this be moved to 'Brew Days'? I'm just not sure quite where this shit fits. Just had to let it out!
