Question for all the exp.brewers among these pages?


Could I put oak chips inthe FV to gve tast of a ak aged AG brew?

Indeed you could. French oak medium-toast is very nice, lots of the subtle vanilla/oak flavour. Boil them in some water then leave them for 15 minutes to sanitise, then pour the whole lot into the FV. A week or so should be enough but use your own taste.
