Post by sam c » Mon Dec 22, 2008 10:53 am

had two readings of 1.006 over the space of 28 hrs so im guessing its finished fermenting. but the beer is not clear at all. im gonna leave it for a couple of days in the fv to see if it clears any more. or is it ok to bottle now and let it clear when conitioning?

I just bottle the stuff as soon as im sure the fermentation has stopped then bottle & bottle conditon.
I've had no clearing problems so far, my lager deffo passes the feck test!

EDIT: Damnit, dave got there first!

I may be wrong, but I think you'll prob need a bit of sediment floating around in the bottles to aid secondary fermentation. If all the yeast has dropped prior to bottling then you'll end up with a great looking beer but with no fizzzzzz.

Cheers,
Chris :)
