Sugar Stuck at Bottom Of the Bottle!

Post by Rhino199 » Wed Jan 21, 2009 5:16 pm

I bottled my first ever lager on sunday evening.

I primed the bottles with sugar then syphoned. The question is there is a build of sugar at the bottom - Do I mix or just leave it?

Thanks

The priming sugar will have dissolved within a few hours of bottling. The deposit on the bottom of the bottles will be the yeast falling out of suspension - a good sign that conditioning has taken place and the CO2 is building up in the bottles.

Just leave it alone so that it can adhere to the bottom of the bottles. :)

Thanks Sparky - I'll lave it untouched!
