Newbie extract question.

I'm hoping start extract brewing on the weekend and was wondering do I need an 'unhopped' malt extract to make my brew or will a standard extract be okay?

Personally I prefer unhopped as I've got more control over the end result. However, I've used both with success, using the hopped extract (usually from a kit) as the basis from which to work.

The grains sure smell nice when they're being boiled. 8)

My first extract brew that I brewed last Monday has nearly finished fermenting, I had to have a little taste of the stuff ( as one does ) and even at this early stage in the beer's life it tastes so much better than a kit brew. 8)

Forgot to mention that I used THIS RECIPE but I had to use a DME because my homebrew supplier didn't have a LME in stock.
