boiling time

When boiling wort is the boiling time from when you start to fill the boiler or from when it starts to boil ??,as my boiler takes around 20mins to boil 30 lts .

From when it starts to boil.

In case you don't know you can switch the heat on as soon as the wort is over the element. I do this and somtimes the wort will start to boil before I have finished sparging, in which case I turn the heat off for a bit - just so that all of it has the same boil time.

I would say its once you add the hops to a boiling wort.

Agreed as the whole point of the boil is for hop aromas/acids to enfuse and get the hot break for protein conglum, right?
