Very happy!

Just so happy with the brew I've just made, can't help telling any one who's interested! Only started down the AG route this year, and I'm definitely hooked! I tasted a pint of UBU from the Purity Brewing Co. a couple of months ago, and thought I'd try to copy it as the info on the bar counter gave the ingredients. So, almost certainly the wrong proportions, but I went ahead and brewed up 23 litres with 4.7 Kg MO, 50g Challenger, 25g cascade. Been in the keg for 10 days, on my 2nd pint now....BLOODY GORGEOUS! I did think I'd over-hopped it when I tasted the hydrometer samples, even though I like a well hopped ale, but it does seem to have mellowed nicely. And even though I thought it'd come out at only 3.6% (???), I feel a bit mellow now before the bottom of my 2nd pint! Thanks to everyone who's given help, directly and indirectly to get me this far. Got the day off tomorrow, think I might get busy! Right. Going for a 3rd....

Well done, there can be no better advocate than someone like yourself.

It's as well you made the ascension today and not tomorrow, more might have been in awe.
