Epic pale ale

Did anyone try Epic pale ale at the wetherspoons beer festival just gone, I emailed the head brewer who gave me the recipe which I'm brewing tomorrow:-

Fermentable Colour lb: oz Grams Ratio
Crystal Malt 130 EBC 1 lbs. 2.9 oz 535 grams 5%
Pale Malt 5 EBC 22 lbs. 7.8 oz 10200 grams 95%

Final Volume: 45.46 Litres
Original Gravity: 1.053
Final Gravity: 1.013
Alcohol Content: 5.2% ABV
Total Liquor: 63.7 Litres
Mash Liquor: 26.8 Litres
Mash Efficiency: 75 %
Bitterness: 40.498112674123 EBU
Colour: 20 EBC

Dry hop 3g of cascade per litre for 14 days

Sounds quite interesting, notable lack of aroma hops.

I would advise caution about the dryhopping with cascade though . . . I've tried this (not with a large amount either) and it virtually wrecked the beer. Oggy'sBar will also confirm this effect can happen.

It produced an incredibly astringent flavour which took several weeks before the beer was even drinkable. Very harsh, grassy taste - most unpleasant.

I would concur with this
I dryhopped once with cascade and it took ages to get the grassy taste away
I now steep for about 15 mins at end of boil with cascade and get great results
