hob goblin clone finished

Post by beesley121 » Thu Jun 04, 2009 11:30 pm

hi guys,

i made a hob gobln clone 7days ago and it has now finised fermentng (FG 1012 usng nottingham).

my question is what should i do now??? it is not very clear and i want to get it as clear as possib;e before i put it in the corny.

should i leave it in the primary for a few weeks?? should i rack to secoundary, should i lower the temp in my temp controlled freezer to say 5 degrees to help it drop bright??

whats my best bet guys??

All are viable options. If I had temperature control I would favour leaving it in the primary and dropping the temp to 5c for 3-4 days and it should drop bright.

I'd probably crash cool, then rack it to a corny with some gelatin.

thanx guys for the replies!!

im going to give the yeast a few days to mop up after itself and then crash cool and then rack to corny. I'll use insinglass if its still not too clear
